HI I'M KATE
I work with founders across a wide range of sectors — from healthcare and professional services, to training, creative organisations and purpose-led businesses.

What they often have in common isn’t the industry they’re in, but the stage they’re at.

They’re growing, evolving or changing direction, and the way the business is operating hasn’t quite caught up yet.
My Story
Over the past 20 years, I’ve worked across the public, private and third sectors in business management and operational roles. That breadth matters.
In 2023, I established Kadence.

My breadth of experience means I’m not wedded to one way of doing things, one industry model, or one set of assumptions. I’m able to step into a business, understand how it actually works in practice, and design operations that fit that reality — not a generic template.

My clients range from solo founders to small, growing teams, to well-established organisations. Some are highly regulated. Others are creative, fast-moving or values-driven. Many are a blend of all three.

What they’re usually looking for is the same thing:
Clarity
Structure
Someone they trust to bring calm and order to the operational side of the business

I work best alongside founders — not above them and not underneath them.

As a Fractional Business Manager, I embed into the business, take ownership of the operational thinking, and help translate vision into workable systems, processes and ways of working.

Sometimes that’s long-term, ongoing support
Sometimes it’s focused, project-based work
Sometimes it starts with a diagnostic to understand what’s really going on

The common thread is that I don’t just fix symptoms — I work at the root.

I’m particularly experienced in supporting founders who feel the weight of everything sitting with them, and in designing systems that reduce cognitive load rather than add to it.

The goal is always the same:
A business that runs more smoothly, feels lighter to lead,
and is set up to grow without burning people out.

Calm, capable, sustainable businesses don’t happen by accident — they’re designed
